The Cailin Traditional Irish Dancing School was established in 1995 by Ann Parker. The School contributes to art and culture in Manawatu through regular performances at community events such as St Patrick’s Day, and the Festival of Cultures. The current teachers are Tessa Pratt and Kate Gibbons.

Recently we have registered as a not for profit, Incorporated Society, continuing the model of operating collectively with parents, teachers and pupils that has been in place for many years. We are also members of the Palmerston North Dance Association (PNDA). We aim to promote the passion and love of Irish dancing, pass on the tradition and culture, build a supportive community for the dancers and their families and to contribute to community events through performances.
