From their website [1]:

The Rose Academy of Irish Dance, located in the Rancho Penasquitos area of San Diego, offers traditional Irish Dance instruction for boys and girls ages 4 through adults. Previous dance experience is not required. Dancing levels range from Pre-Beginner to Open Champion (the highest level of dancing). Performances and competitions include both solo and figure dancing.

The Rose Academy has highly qualified instructors who strive to bring out the best in our students through self-determination, practice, and competitions (feiseanna). The academy has been training Irish dancers in the San Diego area since 2002. Irish Dance involves intricate footwork, fascinating rhythms, and music that comes from the heart. But to a dancer, there is so much more! The Rose Academy fosters a love for Irish dancing while building not only a strong body but a strong character in each student.

Competitions and performances encourage Irish dancers to present their skills in many different types of situations. Irish Dancers build self-esteem and self-confidence through mastering new skills and performing in front of audiences. The competitive aspect of Irish Dance teaches the art of good sportsmanship. Solo dancing encourages dancers to challenge themselves, while figure dancing encourages teamwork. The Irish Dance community fosters a family spirit where lifelong friendships are formed. And, of course, Irish dancing gives all ages and levels a great aerobic workout!
