Welcome to the Foy School of Traditional Irish Dance. The Foy School was founded in 1974 in Chicago by Geraldine Foy, TCRG member of An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha, Irish Dancing Teachers Association of North America, and Irish Dancing Teachers Association of Mid-America. The Des Moines Satellite Location was founded in the Fall of 2004 and continues to grow. Since opening the Foy School has taught many dancers of all ages. These dancers have displayed their skills at performances all over Illinois and Iowa including at Bulls games and on local news shows. Foy dancers have also competed nationally and internationally. The school has sent dancers to the Mid- America Oireachtas, the North American Irish Dance Championships, the All-Ireland Championships, and many more!
