Claddagh School of Irish Dance
From their website [1]:
The Claddagh School of Irish Dance is under the direction of Mary Quinn. Mary has been involved with Irish Dancing since she was five years old and has won numerous competitions throughout the United States and Ireland. Since the age of eighteen, she has been teaching Irish Dancing at the John Boyle O’Reilly Club in Springfield. The School is comprised of children and adults. The students range in ages from as young as four years old to old enough to be a grandparent.
Throughout the year, the Claddagh School Dancers perform at many Irish and Social functions throughout the area. The performances include a mix of traditional Irish Step Dances that are hundreds of years old and dances that have been choreographed by Mary and her students. The Claddagh School has danced at many area nursing homes, hospitals, church-sponsored events, and of course St. Patrick's dinners and celebrations. The School has also performed at several wedding receptions and fundraising events. The Dancers thoroughly enjoy sharing their Irish Step Dancing talent with so many people who hopefully receive as much pleasure in watching as the Dancers have in performing.
