From their website [1]:

The mission of this school is to further the culture of Irish dance and to share the love of Irish dance with others.

We are a dance school devoted to performing throughout Springfield and Central Illinois. Everyone is encouraged to be involved in performing. Performing, however, is not a requirement of dancing with our school. Dancing just for fun and/or exercise is also encouraged. Performances that we have been involved in throughout the past include state and county fairs, weddings, parties, and parades, as well as with world-renowned musical groups. We offer classes in Irish step dancing for all ages.

Central Illinois Irish Dance offers classes for all ages 3 and up. No dance experience is needed. Students start in soft shoes and learn the basics of Irish dance. On the continuation of classes, dancers learn more soft shoe steps as well as hard shoe steps. Ceili dances (party dances similar to square dances) are also taught as well as the basics of Sean Nos dancing.
