From their website [1]:

The Buckley School of Irish Dance is a traditional Irish dance school that offers the discipline and exercise of Irish dance in a warm, supportive environment. Our goal is to promote Irish heritage and culture through music and dance. We have high expectations for all our students and encourage self-discipline, perseverance, and hard work.

The atmosphere is family-friendly and welcoming. Bernadette provides a fun and caring place to learn the art of Irish Step dancing and teaches each class herself. As students’ skill levels increase, they pair with younger students and serve as mentors. Many of the older dancers eventually become teaching assistants. These young men and women are extremely responsible, focused, and determined. They are exceptionally patient and provide excellent role models for younger children.

Bernadette's students come from diverse backgrounds. In fact, many boys and girls have no ties to Irish heritage, never mind Irish dance. Our focus is for students to learn the importance of hard work and perseverance while enjoying and appreciating the art of dance and traditional Celtic music. To enhance our enjoyment, we consistently update our music selections and routines to stay modern with current music and advancements in dancing technique.
